On 27th May 1927 a French aircraft carrier Béarn was brought to service. It was a reconstructed liner. The aircraft carrier could carry 40 aircrafts. After the defeat in 1949 it was detained to the Free French Forces. In 1934-1994 Béarn was transported from United States to Europe. The carrier was scrapped in 1967.
