Today in aviation history – 28th May

On 28th May 1935 was made a test flight of Messerschmitt Bf 109. It was a German fighter, main fighter in Luftwaffe during World War II. The first prototype was powered with Rolls-Royce V12 engine that had launch power of 696 KM (511 kW). The aircraft was improved many times. Its first public presentation was carried out during Summer Olympic Games in Berlin, but there was used version Bf 109 V2.
