On 27th June 1950 an American pilot lieutenant William G. ‘Skeeter’ Hudson downed North Korean fighter Yak-9 flying fighter F-81 Twin Mustang. It was the first victory in war against Korea.

On 26th June 1898 in Frankfurt was born Wilhelm Emil Messerschmitt. Messerschmitt was a German aerial constructor. He took part in I World War and after the war ended, he started engineering studies. On 25th June 1918 Ernst Udet downed his 34th and 35th aircrafts. He downed Longpont Woods and Chavigny Ferme. Altogether at the end of the I World War Udet gained 62 victories.

On 24th June 1994 on the airport Fairchild a bombing aircraft B-52H crashed. The whole four-men crew died. The accident was caused by sublieutenant Bud Holland by making too deep turn.

On 23rd 1915 was born Włodzimierz Gedymin – a pilot of the Polish Army, participant of the September Campaign, experimental pilot, Honorary Citizen of City of Poznań.
