Elbit Systems Ltd. announced today that its wholly-owned Israeli subsidiary Elbit Systems-Cyclone Ltd.(„Cyclone”) was awarded an approximately$80 millioncontract for the supply of structural components to The Boeing Company(„Boeing”). The contract will be performed over seven years.

France buys Sperwer Mk II UAV
French defense procurement agency DGA has awarded Sagem (Safran group) a contract for five Sperwer Mk II drones, which will join the fleet of SDTI (Système de Drones Tactiques Intérimaires) tactical drones already in service with the French army.

A Broad Area Maritime Surveillance Demonstrator (BAMS-D) unmanned aircraft being tested by the U.S. Navy crashed June 11 at approximately 12:11 EST near Bloodsworth Island in Dorchester County, Md. approximately 22 miles east of NAS Patuxent River, Md.
