The Danish Acquisition and Logistics Organization today announced at Eurosatory it has awarded AeroVironment a firm fixed-price order of $9.6 million to supply the Danish Armed Forces with the company’s Puma AE small unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). AeroVironment was selected following a competitive evaluation.

SATCOM for F/A-18E/F Super Hornet from Boeing
Boeing [NYSE: BA] and the U.S. Navy have successfully completed an in-flight demonstration of a satellite communications (SATCOM) system that, if implemented, will enable F/A-18E/F Super Hornet aircrews to conduct two-way, secure voice and data communications with other SATCOM-enabled aircraft, ships, ground forces and command centers.
MADES completed acceptance testing in Germany
The first MEADS power and communications unit recently completed acceptance testing in Germany and will power the first Multifunction Fire Control Radar (MFCR) during integration tests at Pratica di Mare, Italy.
20th C-130J for Dyess delivered by Lockheed Martin
Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] delivered its 20th C-130J Super Hercules to Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, yesterday. By 2013, Dyess will be the largest Super Hercules operator in the world with a fleet totaling 28 C-130J aircraft. Brig. Gen. Randy A. Kee, Deputy Director for Politico-Military Affairs at the Pentagon, flew the aircraft to Dyess.
