On 25th February 1925 2 Greguets 19 were transported from France to Iran. The French aircraft were both fighters and surveillance aircrafts. Delivered aircrafts were covered in Iranian national colours. 25th February 1925 is said to be a symbolic beginning of Iranian airforce.
On 24th February 1956 Royal Air Force was equipped with new fighter aircraft Gloster ‘Javelin’. This aircraft could be used in any atmospheric conditions. The total production run of Gloster ‘Javelin’ was 434. It was withdrew in 1968.
On 23rd February 1917 corporal Marek Majewski was born. In 1937 he graduated from Air Force Academy in Bydgoszcz and he was assigned to the Flight Regiment 4 in Toruń.
