On 28th January 1938 9 Italian bombers Savoia-Marchetti SM.79 flying out from Mallorca conducted raid on Barcelona. 150 people were killed and 500 were injured in 90 seconds bombing.

On 27th January 2002 Boeing 737 became the first jet aeroplane that have spent over 100 million hours in the air. Boeing 737 is an American plane produced since 1968. It is the most widespread and most frequently ordered passenger airplane in the world. Until 2012 there has been produced 7283 of those planes.
On 26th January 1972 occured the Yat Yugoslaw 367 air disaster. In the aviation accident of McDonell Douglass DC-9 aircraft died 27 people and only one person survived – Vesna Vesna Vulović (flight attendant). This accident was supposedly caused by a bomb planted by Croatian fascists.
On 25th January 1950 George Welch made a round flight of a North American YF-93 aircraft which was improved version of F-86 Sabre fighter plane. YF-93 was a one-man, single-engined entirely metallic low-wing. The weaponry consisted of six 20 mm caliber cannons. YF-93 aircraft have never entered serial production.
On 24th January 1932 two French pilots – Codos and Henri Robida finished their several days’ flight and landed in Paris. They flew off from Hanoi (French Indochina of the time). On 23rd January 1909 was made a round flight od Blériot XI aircraft, which was constructed by Louis Blériot and Raymond Saulnier. The entirely wooden construction was powered by 3-cylinder Anzani engine of a power of 25 KM. On 25th July 1909 Bleriot flew across the English Channel in this aircraft.
