On 25th January 1950 George Welch made a round flight of a North American YF-93 aircraft which was improved version of F-86 Sabre fighter plane. YF-93 was a one-man, single-engined entirely metallic low-wing. The weaponry consisted of six 20 mm caliber cannons. YF-93 aircraft have never entered serial production.
