Today in aviation history – 11th July

On 11th July 1916 was made a test flight of an Junkers J.2 aircraft. It was a German fighter with metal construction produced by Junkers company. J.2 model was direct substitute of model J.1. It was designed to be one-man fighting aircraft. Because of technical defects it was not used for military purposes. The total run of Junkers J.2 was 6 copies.
