On 2nd July 1916 in Konradswalde was born Hans-Urlich Rudel – German military World War II pilot. He became famous as a pilot of a bomber of Junkers Ju 87. He was one of the most effective bombing and and assault pilot. He damaged 518 allied tanks. Rudel was also a fighting ace, he gained 9 aerial victories. He died in December 1982.
