On 6th March 1918 the Finnish Air Force (Ilmavoimat) were established. At first the Finnish Air Force possessed two types of two-seater aircrafts: N. A. B. Albatros and Thulin D. The second aircraft had a blue swastika painted on its board, which was an official symbol of the Finnish Air Force. Because of its association with nazism the symbol was removed under pressure of allied commission.
