Today in aviation history – 1st January

On 1st January 1929 LOT Polish Airlines was established. The new enterprise was created by the merge of Polish airlines. The first aircrafts of LOT Polish Airlines were Junkers F.13 and Fokker F.VII/1m. At first the base of LOT took place at the airport in Mokotów (Warsaw), but since 1930’s it is located in Okęcie (also in Warsaw).
