Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre: Airworthy Merlin number 5

Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre Merlin

The fifth airworthy Merlin has been completed and returned to East Kirkby!

Eye Tech engineering has completed a total overhaul of the Merlin 35 that was found by Bob Cherry in a scrap yard and it has been seen to be their 'biggest challenge yet’.

The ’35’ has been modified back to a Merlin 24 and overhauled to airworthy condition.
The whole project has cost £100,000 but has ensured we have our 'spare’ engine for when the aircraft is airworthy.
