Today in aviation history – 27th November

On 27th November 1899 was born lieutenant Stanisław Kiełbasiński. He was a participant of Polish-Bolshevick war in 1920. In 1939 he was assigned to No. 1 wing in Warsaw. During evacuation to Romania he was taken prisoner by Soviet soldiers and sent to camp in Kozelsk. In April 1940 he was transported to Katyn and executed by NKVD. He was ordered with the Cross of Valor twice.
