Today in aviation history – 9th June

On 9th June 1944 was made a test flight of a prototype of a British bomber Avro Lincoln. First aircrafts came into a possession of RAF in 1945. The aircraft could carry over 6 tons of bombs. Defence weaponry consisted of 6 machine guns, 4 medium machine guns and 2 20 millimetre cannons.
