Today in aviation history – 30th April

On 30th April 1958 there was made a test flight of a British strike aircraft Blackburn Buccaneer. The aircraft was powered by 2 jet engines that reached a speed of 1070 km/h. The total run of this aircraft was 200. The majority of those aircrafts were used in the Royal Air Force, and several by the Republic of South Africa. Both countries withdrew the Buccaneers in the 90’s.
