Today in aviation history – 4th January

On 4th January 1936 there was a test flight of an Amercian aircraft Vought XSB2U-1. It was a prototype of a dive bomber SB2U used by the United States, France and Great Britain. The bombers were used in the battle of Midway. SB2U was a monoplane, equipped with 2 machine guns and up to 500 kg of bombs.
