Today in aviation history – 11th December

On 11th December 1994 the Boeing 747 that was flying from Manila to Tokyo was assassinated by Ramzi Yousef who created a bomb on board of a plane out of elements he smuggled. An explosive charge hidden in a life jacket resulted in one death and 10 injured. Hopefully the plane was not seriously damaged and landed in Okinawa despite of the steering problems. There were 293 people on board of this plane.
