Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, celebrated the 30th anniversary of its operations to Larnaca by surprising its most loyal Cypriot customer. Mr. John Strongylos, a Gold FalconFlyer member, who has flown with Gulf Air since it first commenced its operations to Cyprus’s second largest city in 1976, was presented with a complimentary ticket at the airline’s office in Larnaca.
Presenting the tickets, Gulf Air’s General Sales Agent in Cyprus Othrodoxou Aviation’s Marketing Manager Mr. Alexandros Elia commented “It’s our pleasure to honor Mr. John Strongylos; he has been flying with Gulf Air since we first started operations to Larnaca three decades ago. Since then the route has grown to become one of our key European destinations and today Gulf Air operates 5 flights a week between its hub in Bahrain and Larnaca.”
Operating one of the largest networks in the Middle East and boasting the most efficient hub, Gulf Air is well-positioned to connect Larnaca with over 12 destinations in the region including Dubai and Doha. For passengers wishing to travel to destinations in the Indian Subcontinent and Far East, Gulf Air offers seamless onward connections from Cyprus to a host of popular business and leisure destinations including Delhi and Bangkok.
Gulf Air also offers a unique Sky Nanny and Sky Chef service, catering to the individual needs and requirements of passengers. The airline was recently recognized as the best ‘Family Friendly Airline’ for the second consecutive year by a US-based publication and its cabin crew achieved the ‘highest’ ranking in a recent independent passenger survey carried out by IATA.
