On 18th November 1930 was made a test flight of PWS-12 bis aircraft. It was a Polish training school from interwar period. It was supposed to be an aircraft for stunt trainings. PWS-12’s construction was based on PWS-11 and its constructors were Aleksander Grzędzielski and August Bobek-Zdaniewski from Podlasie Aircraft Works.

On 17th November 1956 was made a test flight of a French fighter Mirage III. It was constructed by Dassault Aviation. It was a one-man low wing. It was used by air forces of France, Argentina and Belgium.

On 16th November 1937 near Ostend crashed Junkers Ju 52 from Belgian Airlines Sabena. 11 people travelling from Cologne to London died. On board of the plane was the Duke of Hesse Ernest Louis (he abdicated in 1918) with his pregnant wife and two sons.

On 15th November 1942 was made a test flight of Heinek He 219 Uhu. It was a night German fighter from World War II. In spite of its effectiveness in fighting allied bombers, in May 19944 production of this fighter was stopped for the benefit of Ju 88 G and Do 335.

On 14th November 1910 Eugene Ely (American pilot, pioneer of sea-aviation) took off in Hudson Flyer aircraft off provisory platform built on bow of a USS Birmingham battle cruiser. Today in aviation history – 13th November

On 13th November 1941 German submarine U-81 successfully torpedoed British aircraft carrier HMS Ark Royal near Gibraltar. The aircraft carrier sank the next day. At that moment Ark Royal was equipped with 36 torpedo aircrafts Fairey Swordfish and 18 Fairey Fulmar fighters.
