The Gemeentemuseum Den Haag holds the largest collection of Mondrian artworks in the world, including around 300 pieces. Over seventy works from this collection will be exhibited in Brazil in the forthcoming year, where they will be rotated from city to city every three months. The exhibition will kick off in Sao Paulo, heading later via Brasilia and Belo Horizonte to Rio de Janeiro, where the exhibition will end. In January 2017, KLM Cargo will return the artworks to the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag in the Netherlands.

The Dutch company Hizkia van Kralingen from The Haque shipped the artworks from the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag to Schiphol. Hizkia specialises in packing and transporting art and operates worldwide in this field. The Mondrian artworks are being safely carried with the utmost of care in specially customised ‘Turtle’ crates (developed by Van Kralingen). Once delivered to KLM Cargo, the artworks were loaded on board the aircraft by a specialised team.
