Today in aviation history – 4th November

On 4th November 1910 was born sublieutenent Kazimierz Ciarkowski. He graduated from Air Force Academy in Dęblin. In August 1939 he was assigned to No. 4 wing in Toruń. In the region of South Bzura he was taken prison by Germans and was sent to Oflag II-C. He was killed at night of 5th and 6th August by a warden when Ciarkowski tried to break out. He was buried on the camp cementary.
