On 23rd August 1919 during demonstration flight observed by Józef Piłsudski aircraft CWL SK-1 fell into pieces. In the crash died two-men crew of the aircraft – sublieutenant Kazimierz Jesionowski and plane constructor lieutenant Karol Słowik.
