The museum is excited to bring Glacier Girl, one of only six flying P-38 Lightning aircraft in the world, to Warbirds Over Addison. Glacier Girl was lost in Greenland during a WWII mission, and was painstakingly removed from over 250 feet of glacial ice in a high-adventure recovery chronicled by the History Channel and others. Her caretaker, Bob Cardin, who was on all of the recovery expeditions as well as supervised the restoration, will be on hand to answer questions about Glacier Girl.
