On 8th March 1910 Elise Deroche became the first woman that obtained a flying license. Deroche came from France. She was born in Paris in 1882. Since she was little she was very interested in sports. When she grew up she also became interested in motorization. She learned how to fly using her acquaintances when she asked her friend to teach her how to pilot an aircraft. After obtaining flying license Deroche was an active pilot. She died in July 1919 during a practice flight.
