Today in aviation history – 16th February

On 16th February 1960 there was made a test flight of the aircraft Vought F8U-2N Crusader. It was an American fighter aircraft. F8U-2N was modified version of F8U-2. F8U-2N was equipped with advanced radar, stronger engines and autopilot. The test flight took place in Dallas, Texas where was also a headquarters of Chance Vought’s company (the constructor of F8U-2N).
