Air Mobility Command Museum: Santa visits the C-5A

FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, Santa Claus will be arriving at the AMC Museum and greeting children of all ages in the Cargo Compartment of the C-5. Santa will be letting his reindeer take some time off this season as he upgrades his delivery system to America’s largest airlifter.

Children will be able to have their picture taken with Santa on Dec 7 from 11am until 2 pm aboard the C-5. A donation of $8 for each photo is asked to help keep the entire museum fleet of aircraft shiny and bright. The elves at the museum do all the work but they need paint and polish to do their jobs.

While you are at the museum you can fly one of our flight simulators–for free–and do some Christmas shopping at the Museum Store, check out their special sale items. Also, bring the kids into the hanger to see the Garden Train Club layout — there are usually three trains running – and sometimes Thomas is there!

Santa is sponsored by the AMC Museum Foundation.

Take exit 91 off DE 1 and follow the AMC Museum signs for easy access. Museum hours are Tuesday through Sunday from 9 am – 4pm. Admission and parking are free and photography is welcome. For additional info call the museum at 302-677-5938.
