The international space insurance sector was invited to French Guiana this week for an update from Arianespace, along with a first-hand look at the Spaceport’s launch facilities for its heavy-lift Ariane 5, medium-lift Soyuz and light-lift Vega vehicles.
This provided an opportunity to underscore Arianespace’s excellent launcher family mission success rate – providing high reliability for customers, as well as low insurance premiums when payloads are orbited by the company.
“Arianespace has developed a long-term partnership with space insurers, and we have evolved with the community,” explained Anne Aufrere, Arianespace’s Head of Financing and Insurance Department. “The visit we organized this week is part of our regular presentation meetings for insurers, enabling them to better understand the lengths we go in making our launcher operations as reliable as possible.”
