RAAF C-17A Globemaster and C-130J Hercules are providing a critical air link to the Philippines following the devastation caused by Typhoon Haiyan.
The C-17A Globemaster and C-130J Hercules transported 22 tonnes of equipment, a RAAF mobile air load team, an aircraft security operations team, aeromedical evacuation specialists, and an Australian Government medical assistance team to the Philippines.
The C-130J Hercules is providing a critical air link for supplies and equipment between Cebu and Tacloban.
The C-17A Globemaster and C-130J Hercules provide a versatile and important capability when responding to disasters in our region.
