KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has launched a scheduled service to Florence. This is KLM’s fifth Italian destination after Rome, Milan, Venice and Bologna.

Italy is the fourth most important market in Europe for AIR FRANCE KLM. Florence, the regional capital of Tuscany, attracts millions of tourists annually, to visit the historical attractions in the city centre, such as the cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore, the Ponto and Palazzo Vecchio, and the Uffizi Gallery.
Florence is also a major commercial centre, especially for fashion, design, engineering and pharmaceuticals.
The new schedule started on 27 October. The service consists of two flights a day on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and one flight a day on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The KL1641 departs Amsterdam at 09:55 hours and arrives in Florence at 11:55.
The return flight, KL1642 departs Florence at 12:35 hours and arrives in Amsterdam at 14:50 hours. In the evening, flight KL1645 departs Schiphol at 21:00 hours and lands in Florence at 22:55. The following morning, flight KL1638 departs Florence at 06:30 hours and arrives in Amsterdam at 08:45.
The flights are operated by an Embraer 190.
