JetBlue Airways (Nasdaq: JBLU) today launched new nonstop flights from Hartford Bradley International Airport to both Fort Myers and Tampa, with special introductory fares starting at $99 one way (a) for flights from October 31 through December 13, 2013. These special fares are blacked out during November 22 through December 2, 2013.
„Hartford is an important market for us, and it has grown steadily since we first began service there in November 2010,” said JetBlue vice president network planning Scott Laurence. „Customers throughout New England are embracing our low fares, award-winning service, free inflight entertainment, assigned seats and free snacks.”
„We’re thrilled that JetBlue continues to enhance Bradley International Airport’s route structure and promote economic activity in the state of Connecticut. The Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA) looks forward to continuing to partner with JetBlue, which operates one of the best airlines in the industry,” said Kevin A. Dillon, A.A.E., Executive Director of the CAA.
JetBlue will serve eight airports in New England: Boston, Burlington, Hartford, Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, Portland and Providence, with new service to Worcester, starting November 7. Hartford service will peak in December 2013 at 10 daily departures from Hartford Bradley to six destinations. Service on the Hartford-Fort Myers route is seasonal.
