AmCham Abu Dhabi announces that F&E Aerospace has become the latest signatory of WOMEN ACHIEVE, an innovative program by its Women in Business Committee that promotes the professional advancement of women. WOMEN ACHIEVE was created by AmCham Abu Dhabi’s Women in Business Committee to encourage companies and organizations to offer women more opportunities to advance to positions of greater responsibility and leadership.
F&E Aerospace, a leading name in the aerospace industry’s event sector, joins a growing list of prominent companies who have joined the WOMEN ACHIEVE initiative, including BOEING, ExxonMobil, Parsons, Mubadala GE Capital and others. As a supporter of the WOMEN ACHIEVE program, F&E Aerospace reaffirms that its commitment to providing a work environment that is conducive to women’s development, by empowering women to refine their leadership skills and grow in their respective jobs and areas of expertise. As signatory, F&E Aerospace also pledges to provide greater opportunities for women’s participation in training and career advancement.
Sharief Fahmy, CEO F&E Aerospace expressed his delight about joining this initiative by saying: “The global nature of our business means our staff are as diverse as our products, and many of our staff speak multiple languages. Established in January 2013, WOMEN ACHIEVE focuses on seven key ideals that companies undertake to guide them towards developing a work environment that is conducive for the professional growth of women. The ideals include encouraging women to grow through training, shadowing, coaching, mentorship and internship programs, to consider female candidates for new opportunities and support ‘rising stars’ into leadership positions. WOMEN ACHIEVE also encourages the induction of women to serve on boards of different organizations and promotes the importance of fair remuneration for female employees.
Participation in WOMEN ACHIEVE is open to entities of all sizes. Companies that are interested can elect to become signatories by contacting AmCham Abu Dhabi. WOMEN ACHIEVE signatories receive a certificate of acknowledgement from AmCham Abu Dhabi and are eligible to use the WOMEN ACHIEVE seal on their communication collateral.
