During the winter season, Transatlantic Joint Venture partners Alitalia and Delta will offer passengers a double daily service on their Milan – New York route. These two flights will provide passengers more travel options to suit their needs. They could leave Milan in the morning or at lunch time and be in New York at mid-day or no later than early afternoon, allowing travelers time to rest or enjoy the city. The late afternoon or evening departure times from New York allow passengers to spend the entire day in New York for a late meeting or last minute shopping with an early arrival in Milan the next morning to start a new business day.
The partnership with Delta Air Lines also provides passengers arriving to JFK from Malpensa with convenient connections on Delta’s vast network of destinations in the USA, Canada, the Caribbean as well as Central and South America.
Frequent travelers on the Milan – New York route can accrue Alitalia MilleMiglia miles whether flying on Alitalia or Delta operated flights. Passengers who travel on this route between October 1 and December 15 will enjoy an additional 2500 bonus miles in Economy Class, or 3,500 bonus miles in Premium Economy, or 5,000 bonus miles in Business Class. All bonus miles are in addition to the standard mileage accrual for this route.
Furthermore, passengers travelling on this route in Business Class will enjoy excellent service featuring seats that convert to true flat-beds – 180 degrees and direct-aisle access, and an award-winning dining experience, complete with selected wines and amenities by luxury Italian and International brands.
To promote this daily double service, Alitalia and Delta have launched a joint advertising campaign in the Milan market. The campaign’s slogan reads:
“CON DUE VOLI NON-STOP AL GIORNO DA MALPENSA A NEW YORK, NESSUNO PUÒ DARTI DI PIÙ”
(“With two daily non-stop flights from Milan to New York — no one offers more service than Alitalia and Delta”)
