Kratos wins new contract

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:KTOS), a leading National Security Solutions provider, announced that it has been selected by the U.S. Navy to provide training analysis and development support to the Naval Education & Training Command (NETC’s) Surface Warfare Officers School (SWOS) and Center for Security Forces (CENSECFOR) Master at Arms „A” (MAA) School, contracts valued together at approximately $1.3 million.

Under the terms of the CENSECFOR agreement, Kratos will conduct a comprehensive analysis and develop a training solution designed to significantly improve the overall quality of existing instruction at the MAA School. Building on the Navy’s existing learning objectives, Kratos will design and develop an enhanced Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) training solution that ensures delivery of MAA content via a learner-centric, performance-based approach. Lesson focus areas will include topics in general security, weapons and anti-terrorism. Additionally, under the terms of the SWOS agreement, Kratos will provide government site staff augmentation in the areas of Job Duty Task Analysis (JDTA), Front End Analysis (FEA), Business Case Analysis (BCA) and Instructional Systems Design (ISD).

„Kratos is excited to add CENSECFOR and SWOS to a growing list of U.S. Navy customers who have relied upon us to design and deliver instructionally sound, cost-effective and dynamic training solutions,” said Dan Dunaway, Senior Vice President of Kratos Training Solutions. „With an extensive track record of creating performance-based blended learning solutions, Kratos is well positioned to continue this expansion of support for Navy training initiatives.”

The contract announcement continues a string of recent wins for Kratos’ training group, including awards from NETC to provide training development and delivery network training, chaplain education and a prime position on Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division’s (NAWCTSD) Training Data Products (TDP) Multiple Award Contract (MAC).
