Moscow-based Transaero Airlines has selected Rockwell Collins latest-generation PAVES™ High Definition Media Server (HDMS) and Entertainment Control Panel (ECP) to retrofit on eight Boeing 767s. Installations are currently in progress.
Rockwell Collins’ latest-generation HDMS is the core component of its PAVES family of in-flight entertainment (IFE) solutions. The HDMS, which boasts 160 gigabytes of solid state digital and audio storage capability enabling multiple pre-scripted play periods of entertainment content, integrates with the full array of PAVES IFE, including its new market-first customizable PAVES 3 in-seat and overhead video solution.
Rockwell Collins ECP controls the HDMS and features an easy-to-use, intuitive 16:9 high-definition touch-screen with ‘on-the-fly’ configuration control to reduce workload for the cabin crew and maintenance teams. The ECP not only controls content in the cabin, it also serves as the loading platform for all media.
