On October 15, 2013, ANTONOV Company was visited by a delegation of Air Armed Forces of Indian Republic headed by Air Chief Marshal Norman Aneel Kumar Brown, Head of the Committee of staff chief – commander of AF of Indian Armed Forces.

Within the visit, members of the Indian delegation were familiarized with ANTONOV’s facilities in details, including up−to−date and prospective ANTONOV’s programs, enterprise’s capacity in areas of design, tests and aircraft producing.

During the negotiations, with the participation of Spetstechnoeksport State Self−sustained Export Trading Enterprise representatives, the parties discussed development of joint programs, first of all, modernization process of the AN−32 Indian fleet. They also examined new areas of cooperation in the aviation sphere. Meanwhile Mr. Brown noticed that ANTONOV suggestions satisfy a variety of Indian Armed Forces’ needs. Particularly, Ukrainian manufacturer suggests its machinery for AF (light transport aircraft), navy and coast guard (patrol aircraft), Ministry of Extraordinary Situations (VIP, ambulance aircraft). An indubitable advance of ANTONOV suggestion is its structural communality – all these airplanes can be created on the basis of the AN−148/158, the unique modern platform. This is a guarantee of low costs on aircraft creation and production, staff training and after−sale support. One more advantage of ANTONOV suggestions is their realization jointly with Indian industry.

As Mr. Brown noted, “ANTONOV is a well−known company with a great experience. ANOTONOV won the respect of Indian Republic for support it gives to its customers. We are sure new ANTONOV projects that are under consideration of various Indian ministries and departments will get this support as well”.
